Pattern Imprinted Concrete is a skilled technique of combining colours and patterns to freshly poured concrete, re-creating the look of original materials such as slate, timber, slate, and stone without the elevated cost of these natural products on patios, paving and driveways. You’re spoilt for choice, thanks to the innovations of modern technology and experienced concrete contractors.
Pattern imprinted concrete is no more expensive where work is carried out correctly by professionals than block paving or tarmac, especially taking into consideration that pattern imprinted concrete is a more superior product. The advantages of pattern imprinted concrete far overshadow many other paving products. Whether you’re looking for a traditional, modern or contemporary design, we can suit your needs.
Pattern imprinted concrete generally has a textured finish. Traction is aided by applying the final sealant, which includes an anti-slip mixture known as rhino grip.
Each job is different, so it will depend on what steps are needed for your project. Excavation and site preparation are usually completed in 1-2 days. The installation of the concrete and printing process will take 1-2days. We will thoroughly clean and wash the installation and surrounding area in 1 day. Once the cleaned area is dry, we will return to apply the final sealant. The entire process is usually completed in 7 to 10 working days, depending on the weather conditions.
Stress cuts minimise the chance of surface cracks. They are used in high-stress positions, such as at the external corners of buildings. Stress cuts in the imprinted concrete help reduce random cracking. They absorb the natural movement that occurs in the land.
You can generally walk on the completed installation within 1-3 hrs, depending on weather conditions; We advise that you wait a minimum of 48 hours before parking vehicles on the concrete.

Colour does not fade. However, weather, traffic and dirt can take their toll on the surface sealant resulting in the appearance of faded colour. Even if the colouring appears faded due to lack of maintenance over the years, it can often be restored by cleaning and re-sealing.
To maintain the optimum finish, we recommend re-sealing every 2-3 years to maintain the optimum finish. Still, it may need to be done more often depending on how much foot and vehicular traffic the surface is exposed to.
